The room setup was perfect for a family, though guests should be aware there's a bit of a walk and some stairs to reach it. Service was excellent; the front desk staff were very helpful and enthusiastic with their explanations. The air conditioning in the room seemed to have been recently updated, as it cooled down very quickly, which was a relief in the scorching heat. However, the bathroom lighting (especially around the bathtub) was quite dim; it almost felt like the lights weren't on at all. This is definitely an area that could be improved.

Luggage Service: Extremely convenient; you don't have to haul your bags around. Xizha Scenic Area Tickets for Two (valid for unlimited entries until 12 PM on check-out day): No need to buy individual tickets repeatedly – just use facial recognition for entry. Breakfast is included, but I highly recommend the 'Zaochake' (Morning Tea Experience)! It's really engaging with a vast selection of delicious food. Plus, you can enjoy opera, live performances, and traditional storytelling. Just remember to go early to get a good seat!

The ambiance was quite good. The only minor issue was a slight unpleasant odor from the bathroom drain. The service was excellent; our host gave us great advice on how to explore the area. The pick-up and drop-off service was also very convenient. We received four tickets to the Xizha Scenic Area, valid for multiple entries throughout our stay until 12:00 PM on the day of departure.

The overall environment was excellent, and the facilities were comprehensive. It truly lives up to its reputation as a wonderfully planned scenic area. Although it's just a youth hostel, everything was fantastic. The rooms were surprisingly spacious, making for a very comfortable stay.

We decided to add an extra night in Wuzhen. Shuixiangyi (Water Lane Inn) is situated at the very edge of Wuzhen's Xizha (West Scenic Zone), making it quiet and uncrowded. I first stayed here in 2013, and upon my return in 2026, I was surprised to find that absolutely nothing had changed. The only difference was that this time, our family of four stayed in a standard room. Facilities: To be honest, after so many years, the amenities are starting to show their age a bit. However, Wuzhen's management maintains a high standard, and the decor remains exactly as it was 13 years ago. Cleanliness: Decent. Service: Service wasn't particularly noticeable. A young male staff member would escort guests to their rooms, but he wasn't overly warm or enthusiastic.

I first stayed at this hotel eleven years ago, and I'm pleased to report that the cleanliness, ambiance, and service remain just as excellent. I truly believe that to fully experience this ancient town, you must stay overnight to soak in its unique charm and the deep sense of nostalgia it evokes during the quiet nights and tranquil mornings. It feels like stepping into a misty, picturesque scroll painting of a Jiangnan water town, especially when you're strolling among its distinctive blue-brick, dark-tiled, and white-walled architecture.
